About the Running Scared 5K/13K - Las Vegas
The courses run inside the park on the Bonanza Trail, which keeps everything contained and easy for anyone watching from the sidelines. The shorter distance is essentially flat the whole way, the kind of surface where a personal best is genuinely in reach. The longer option covers more of the same trail system.
Packet pickup happens on race morning, opening about an hour before the first wave goes off. No separate trip the day before is required, which makes the logistics simple if you are coming from across town.

The Running Scared 5K/13K - Las Vegas has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
