About the Running of the Turkeys
The course runs through the southwestern corner of the state with real hills, not token ones. The terrain is scenic and rural, and the hills give you something to work against on a Thanksgiving morning when your legs are cold and your motivation is theoretical.
The race starts and finishes at an elementary school. Packet pickup runs the evening before, with race-morning registration available as well. Proceeds go to a local scholarship fund, which gives the whole thing a bit of purpose beyond the pie you are probably thinking about.
