About the Run With The Cops 5K
The course starts and finishes at Witter Field, the local baseball stadium, which gives the whole morning an unusual backdrop. The race is a benefit for the local police department, organized by the baseball team that they help keep safe during the season, so there is a real reason behind it beyond the run itself.
After you finish, the stadium concessions are open for a stretch and there is a complimentary drink waiting, domestic beer or soda. The finish-line area stays lively while people wind down, which makes it worth sticking around rather than heading straight to the parking lot.
