About the Run With A Mission 5K, 3K, Fun Run
This is a charity race that sends its proceeds to an orphanage in El Salvador, so the entry fee does more than cover a bib. The start and finish are at a local church on Bear Creek Road, and the course offers a couple of distance options alongside a kids' fun run. The terrain and surroundings are rooted in the Lavonia area, making it a neighborhood kind of morning.
The race is based out of Lavonia Church of God, which serves as the gathering point before and after. There are refreshments waiting at the finish. Timing is handled by a dedicated race services company, so results come back clean.
