About the 30th Annual Run Wild for the Detroit Zoo
The race starts on a service road outside the zoo, cuts through the neighboring residential streets of Huntington Woods, and finishes inside the Detroit Zoo itself. That finish inside the zoo grounds is the distinctive thing here: the crowds waiting near the finish line are spectators who purchased entry, so it feels more contained than a typical road-race finish.
Packet pickup is available the afternoon before at the zoo parking lot, with a second window early on race morning. Race-day registration is also available but closes before the start. Spectators who want to watch the finish inside the zoo need a separate ticket, purchased during registration or at pickup.
