About the Run, Walk, & Roll for Rehab

This race is built around inclusion in a real way. Wheelchair users and hand-crank bike riders race alongside runners and walkers, and entry fees are waived for participants using mobility assistive devices. There is also a short kids' dash. Proceeds go to ECU Health Rehabilitation Services.

Race-morning registration opens before the start, so you can show up without pre-registering. The finish line has music and refreshments, and an awards ceremony follows for overall, age group, and adaptive category leaders.

Common Questions About the Run, Walk, & Roll for Rehab

Will I finish last at the Run, Walk, & Roll for Rehab?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 35:56, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:03:37, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Run, Walk, & Roll for Rehab a good first 5K?

It is a small race (98 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Run, Walk, & Roll for Rehab?

The 5K winner ran 22:28 while the median finisher took 35:56. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
