About the Run the Vineyards - "The 5K Waltz"
The course runs through working vineyard rows at Waltz Vineyards, a winery estate outside Manheim. Most of it is off-road, cross-country style terrain, so expect uneven ground rather than pavement. The views open up across the valley and surrounding hills, and the vineyard setting gives the whole thing a character you won't find on a road course.
Packet pickup is race morning at the winery, wrapping up before the start. The post-race scene is held on the lawn overlooking the vineyard, with a food truck on-site and live music that runs into midday. A complimentary glass of wine is available for those of legal drinking age. Dogs on leash are welcome, and lawn chairs are encouraged for the after-party.
