About the Run the Runway 5K & Fun Run

The course runs on an actual airport runway at New Garden Flying Field, which makes it unlike most road races. The surface is flat and wide open, with planes and show vehicles already being staged around the field. Because the race happens before the air show opens to the public, runners get to walk through the setup while it is still quiet.

Pancakes are waiting at the finish, put on by a local aviation chapter. Check-in opens early on race morning, and day-of registration is available. Results go up live as runners finish.
