About the Run the River 5k Run/Walk
Run the River is a chipped-timed race through River Falls, organized by a local land trust that works to protect the Kinnickinnic River watershed. The kids' run draws younger participants, and age-group awards go several deep for both men and women. The whole event leans toward the outdoors crowd, people who care about the river as much as the race.
After the race, the land trust hosts a gathering with refreshments where you can meet other supporters and hear about their conservation work in the watershed. Packet pickup is available at the event itself, so plan to arrive with a little time before the start to get your bib sorted.
