About the Run the 313 5K

The course runs through Palmer Park on certified road, flat enough that runners chasing a fast time and those pushing strollers end up on the same pavement. The park setting gives it some shade and open space, and because the course is certified, the distance is accurate if you are eyeing a personal best.

Packet pickup happens on the two evenings before the race, one at a Detroit running club and one at a running store in Birmingham, with pickup available at the park on race morning as well. Parking spreads across several areas around Palmer Park, and street parking on Woodward is the most plentiful, putting you close to the start. A DJ and a guided recovery stretch follow the awards.
