About the Run S'more 4-Miler
The course runs on the Iron Horse Trail, an out-and-back on what sounds like a paved rail trail, starting and finishing at a church right next to the trailhead. Rail trails tend to be even underfoot and open to the sky, which makes the route readable from the start. The turnaround point gives you a natural check-in on how you are feeling before the return leg.
Packet pickup is at a pavilion beside the trail before the race starts, so there is no separate trip the day before. The start area is at First Christian Church on Beech Street, which sits right along the trail and gives the whole thing a tidy, contained feel.
