RUN RUN RUDOLPH 5K & FUN RUN

SHERMAN, TX

Registration closedAnnual since at least 2020

About the RUN RUN RUDOLPH 5K & FUN RUN

This holiday race starts and finishes at St. Mary's Catholic School, with both the shorter and longer courses running on city streets. Costumes and festive attire are part of the scene, so expect Rudolph masks and reindeer gear alongside the usual running clothes. The race benefits the school's academic programs.

Hot chocolate and hot apple cider are available before the start. Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at the school, outside the gym, and race-morning pickup is also available. Chip timing is handled through your bib, which needs to be pinned visibly on your torso for results to count.

Common Questions About the RUN RUN RUDOLPH 5K & FUN RUN

Will I finish last at the RUN RUN RUDOLPH 5K & FUN RUN?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 31:58, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:00:41, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the RUN RUN RUDOLPH 5K & FUN RUN a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 224 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the RUN RUN RUDOLPH 5K & FUN RUN?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 16:08 while the median finisher took 31:58. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
