About the Run Like Michael
The course runs through the trails at Bretton Woods, a wooded recreation area in Darnestown. The terrain is natural trail, so expect uneven ground and tree cover rather than pavement. The race was started to honor Michael Patrick Long and to raise money for addiction prevention and recovery support, so the atmosphere on course carries some weight alongside the effort.
Packet pickup is held at the Bretton Woods Recreation Center a few evenings before race day, with the start on race morning following shortly after registration opens. Pizza from a local restaurant is on hand after you finish, along with snacks and drinks.
