About the Run like a Girl Series

The race runs through Ernie Roberts Park and benefits Bras for Girls, a charity that supports girls in staying active through access to proper gear and health education. The course has a water station along the way, and the event is not chip-timed, so the emphasis is on moving at your own pace rather than chasing a clock.

Bibs are picked up race morning under the pavilions to the right of the playgrounds, after you park in the Ernie Roberts Park lot. One porta-potty is on site, so the organizers suggest handling restroom needs before you arrive and bringing your own supplies just in case.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 23, 2026.

Common Questions About the Run like a Girl Series

Will I finish last at the Run like a Girl Series?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 51:05, and the last recorded finisher came in around 59:22, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Run like a Girl Series a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (9 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Run like a Girl Series?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 0:06 while the median finisher took 51:05. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
