About the Run from the Sun
The race starts and finishes at the community center in Mabel, so you are never far from the action. It benefits skin cancer awareness, and the morning around it has the feel of a town event as much as a race day, with kids' games, raffles, and entertainment on site.
The Lions run a pancake breakfast before the start, which is worth knowing if you want to eat something warm before you head out. Post-race, beverages and activities are waiting back at the community center.
