About the 41st Annual Run for the Turtles
The course runs on Siesta Key Beach, so expect sand underfoot the whole way. That changes how the effort feels, especially if you are not used to it. The race supports sea turtle nesting research along a long stretch of Gulf coastline, and that connection to the place gives the morning a purpose beyond finishing. Awards go deep into age groups after the main race.
Packet pickup opens race morning, with an earlier option if details are announced closer to the date. The organizers ask runners to bring a reusable water bottle; there are water stations on course. A food station is set up at the finish area, along with activities for kids.
