About the Run for the Rosies 5K
The course runs through rural Simpson County, set around the Barn at Bethel Grove. The terrain is open country, which keeps things straightforward underfoot. Both runners and walkers have their own divisions, with walkers held to a true walking standard, so the two groups run separately rather than mixed together.
The race supports the Rosie Foundation, which provides care packages and financial help to people facing Glioblastoma and other cancers. The mission is specific and personal, named for Tiffany Barnes Gray, and that context is noticeable at the event. People who cannot attend in person can participate through a virtual entry.
