About the Run for the Riverfront 5K

The running course starts and finishes at a boathouse in Riverside Park, following dirt and grassy trails along the way. It is a fundraiser for a community rowing program, and the event itself reflects that mix: runners share race day with rowers and people on rowing machines, all raising money for the same cause.

Registration and bib pickup open early on race morning at the boathouse. After the race, there is a social gathering followed by an awards ceremony, with prizes going to top finishers by age group as well as to the top fundraisers.
