About the 6th Annual Run for the Cherubs 5K & Walk
This race is a tribute to children who have died and the mothers who carry their memory. The course passes a memorial bench mid-route, where a bagpiper plays as runners go by. It benefits a local hospital's women and babies program, so the cause is woven into the morning in a way you feel, not just read on the bib.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at Lakefront Park, where you can also register. On race morning, the registration tent opens early, and the start is preceded by opening ceremonies including the national anthem and speakers from the hospital foundation.
