About the Run for the Butter

The course runs out and back on a bike trail, which keeps things simple and easy to follow. It is part of Butterfest, a larger local festival, so the race has that surrounding energy even if the run itself is straightforward. Several distance options go out the same way, with shorter runners heading out once the trail opens up.

The start is at a food company parking lot on Eagle Street, which the organizers flag as the place to park. Top finishers in each distance take home butter, which is exactly what the name promises. Age group awards cover a wide spread from youth through masters.
