About the Run for Hope
This one runs through a horse racing facility, which is not something most road races can claim. The course winds past the paddocks and through the grounds before finishing on the dirt track itself, the same surface the horses run on. It is a mixed-terrain route, and the surroundings do most of the talking.
The kids' portion of the morning features an inflatable pony to race against, which tends to be the moment families remember. Packet pickup is available at the Chemo Buddies office in the days before the race, with a race-morning option near the start line at the park.
