About the Run for a Dream 5K and 1M Fun Run
The course runs through cross-country trails at a county track facility, so expect dirt underfoot and the kind of terrain that rewards trail shoes over road flats. The route winds rather than goes straight, which suits the setting. After the finish, the field beside the track fills up with lawn games, inflatables, face painting, and snacks, so there is real reason to hang around.
The start is at the track on One Royal Drive, and the organizers note that strollers are not permitted on the course and that pets should stay home. Wear shoes suited to cross-country ground. A virtual participation option exists for those who cannot make it in person.
