About the Run 4 Health

This is a charity road race in Niceville that benefits an early childhood education organization. The theme changes each year, and costumes from your favorite era are part of the culture, with prizes going to the best-dressed runners and groups. Age group awards go out to both runners and walkers.

After the race, the start area turns into something closer to a block party, with food trucks, vendor booths, and field day games running through the late morning. Packet pickup happens before race day, with an option to pick up on the morning itself.

Common Questions About the Run 4 Health

Will I finish last at the Run 4 Health?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 41:55, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:10:03, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Run 4 Health a good first 5K?

It is a small race (148 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Run 4 Health?

The 5K winner ran 17:09 while the median finisher took 41:55. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
