The course runs through the streets of the Village of WestClay, a planned neighborhood on the north side of Carmel with a distinct architectural character. The route starts and finishes on Meeting House Road and passes near Coxhall Gardens. It is flat throughout, so there is nothing technical underfoot, and the surroundings are pleasant enough to hold your attention.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a running store in Indianapolis, with an option to pick up at the start area on race evening before the gun. Parking is on the surrounding residential and business streets. The finish brings a DJ, craft beer, and food from local vendors.
