About the Rudolph Run Family 5K
The course runs through downtown Winchester, starting at the post office parking lot. The route is a road race through the streets of a small downtown, which means fairly flat going and some natural shelter from storefronts along the way. Plenty of people show up in holiday costumes, Santa hats and reindeer antlers among them, which gives the morning a playful feel without anyone making a big deal of it.
Check-in happens race morning at the start area near the post office, so there is no separate packet pickup trip to plan. The start sits between a florist and a detail shop on a main downtown street, which makes it easy to find and gives you somewhere to stand out of the cold while you wait.
