About the RuckUs 4 FREEDOM

The route is a rucking course through Marshalltown, and the unusual part is the backpack. Participants who want to ruck carry weighted packs, with the suggested weight coming from canned goods that can be donated to a local VFW food pantry after the finish. Those who prefer to leave the pack behind can run or walk the same course. Scales are at the start for ruck participants.

Water and Gatorade are available before and after the race. Strollers, wheelchairs, and pets are not permitted on the course. Ruckers need to bring their own backpack and weight, so plan for that before you arrive. Race-day registration opens at the start area, and both cash and credit cards are accepted.
