About the RRRC Sweetheart 8K

The course starts and finishes at a spot called The Millworks and winds through a couple of residential neighborhoods before cutting through a historic coal mine park. The surface is mostly roads and paved paths, with short trail sections mixed in. There is one water stop partway through, and it is cup-free, so bring your own bottle.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at a local running store in Midlothian, with race-morning pickup available at the start area as well. Parking is in the lot near the library, close to the start. A raffle and a team costume contest are part of the post-race scene, so Valentine's Day gear is welcome.
