About the Royal Beast 12 Hour Run/Walk/Relay
Southeastway Park hosts this all-day loop event, and the first choice you make is which surface to run on. The dirt trail winds through woods with roots, rocks, wooden bridges, and a couple of short climbs, and it stays heavily shaded through most of the loop. The paved option circles the park with gentler grades and far less shade, so factor in the summer heat if you go that route.
There is a DJ going all day, a scrolling scoreboard showing loop counts, and an open bar for adults alongside pizza and an awards celebration at the end. The park is fully outdoors with no shelter house, so come prepared to set up your own shade and seating between loops.
