About the 2026 Route 66 Race Across Kansas

The course follows historic Route 66 across the full width of Kansas, from the Missouri border to the Oklahoma border. It is a point-to-point run on one of the country's most storied roads, moving through open country the whole way. The terrain is flat, the direction is straight, and the landscape does not change much, which suits runners who like to settle into a pace and hold it.

Packet pickup happens the morning of the race at an address on Main Street in Galena, close to where the course begins. Age group awards go to the top finishers in each division.
