The course starts and finishes behind the Senior Center on Sunset Lane, looping out to Kenwood Park before turning back along the shore of Lake Cadillac. It is an out-and-back on mostly flat ground, with the lake alongside for much of the return leg. The surroundings are quiet and open, and the water stays in view for a good stretch of the route.
