About the Rooted Acres Endurance Race
The course runs through the Rooted Acres property in loops, each one covering dirt trail with very few roots underfoot. Athletes complete as many loops as they can within their chosen time window, crossing a timing mat to start and end each one. The terrain is forgiving by trail standards, and the surrounding woods keep things shaded and quiet.
The venue itself is substantial. There are hot and cold showers, a full kitchen, a sauna, a cold plunge, and fire pits on site. Tent camping is available, and cabins and yurts can be booked nearby. Belleplain State Park borders the property, so non-running family members have trails and a lake within easy reach.
