About the Root Beer Family Fun Run
The route circles a park in Soldotna, and the whole point is that you go as far as you feel like going. Some people do several loops; some walk straight from the registration table to the root beer. There is no timing, no pressure, and the finish line is wherever you decide it is. Families with small kids fit right in.
The race runs out of Soldotna Creek Park, with same-day registration available on the morning of the event. At the end, there is a free mug of root beer from Kenai River Brewery waiting for each participant.
