About the Rodeo Valley Trail Run
The course starts near a preserved WWII military post and Rodeo Beach, then climbs hard into the Marin Headlands. The terrain is genuine trail, with steep pitches and long descents through coastal hills. Views open toward the Pacific and across to the Golden Gate as the route moves through single-track in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Foxes, coyotes, and bobcats share the hills.
Free parking is scattered across several lots and pullouts near the start, including a beach lot and a larger lot farther out with a short walk to the start area. Shuttles have run between the outer lot and the beach on race morning. Dogs are welcome on the shorter distance, as long as they start at the back and stay leashed.

The Rodeo Valley Trail Run has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
