About the Rockville 10K/5K
The course runs through the King Farm neighborhood on paved streets, and it has some real challenge to it despite the suburban setting. There is a pace requirement tied to road closure permits, so the field keeps moving. Strollers are welcome at the back of the start, but dogs are not allowed on the course.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running shop, with race-morning pickup available at the King Farm Village Center. Street parking is scattered through the neighborhood, and a parking garage a short jog from the staging area is an option. The Safeway lot nearby is off-limits.
