Ward Parkway is the kind of boulevard that makes a course feel like a tour. Tree-lined and residential, it rolls past urban parks, fountains, and distinctive architecture before tilting downhill for a long, satisfying stretch to the finish in front of a corporate campus. The terrain is mostly gentle, with enough variation to keep things interesting.

Packet pickup happens the day before at an expo on a campus in Overland Park, with parking in the garage across the street. If that does not work, race-morning pickup is available at the corner where the course begins, near the start on Ward Parkway.
