About the Rock Island Rotary Reindeer Ramble 5K Run/Competitive Walk
The course runs out and back from Schwiebert Riverfront Park, keeping the river in view for most of the way. The terrain is flat throughout, so you get a clear sense of your pace from the start. Competitive walkers have their own division, judged separately from the runners.
Packet pickup and race-day registration are held the morning of the event at a venue on Arts Alley, a short while before the start. The start and finish are both at Schwiebert Riverfront Park, so there is no confusion about where to be.
