About the Rock and Run for the Rescue 10K/5K/1-Mile Dog Jog
The course starts and finishes inside Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, rolling out along gravel and grass paths before connecting to paved roads beside the Big Slough Canal. The terrain shifts underfoot a couple of times, so expect a little variety. Dogs are welcome on the shorter route, and the race benefits a local animal rescue.
Packet pickup happens on race morning at the park pavilion, and the park has a firm opening time, so plan to arrive once the gates are actually open. Parking attendants are on hand to direct traffic. There is an auction on site, with proceeds going to the rescue organization behind the event.

The Rock and Run for the Rescue 10K/5K/1-Mile Dog Jog has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
