About the River’s Edge Trail Half Marathon

The course runs a paved loop from Memorial Park along the Iowa River Greenbelt, passing through Steamboat Rock and Pine Lake State Park before looping back to Eldora. The route follows the River's Edge Trail, so the surroundings are mostly river corridor and forested parkland. It reads flat and open, with spectators able to catch runners at several points along the way.

Parking is at the county fairgrounds just west of the start area. Packet pickup is available the evening before or the morning of the race. After you finish, the local Kiwanis Club serves a hot pancake and sausage breakfast at the park shelter, and the public is welcome too.
