About the Riva Runs The Boardwalk 5k
The course runs along the boardwalk right on the water, out and back with a turnaround point. The terrain is paved and flat the whole way, with the shoreline beside you throughout. It is an evening race, so you finish around sunset, which makes the waterfront setting feel different from a typical weekend morning run.
Packet pickup is at the parking lot beside the restaurant, or inside if the weather is bad. Parking is right there, just off the venue. After the race, the restaurant stays open, and there is a live band when you arrive and a DJ for the after-party. Canned drinks are available at the finish for those of legal drinking age.
