The course runs through wooded hillsides outside Wellsville, and the fall foliage is a real part of the experience, not just a backdrop. The terrain is trail throughout, with the elevation changes you would expect from ridge running. Several distance options are available, from a short walk through the trees to a longer competitive run that serves as a regional trail championship.
