About the Ridge Runner 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run
The course splits between two surfaces. The longer route goes into the woods on trail, with the terrain and elevation changes that come with a state park setting. The shorter option sticks to asphalt and suits runners who want something more straightforward. Big Ridge State Park sits in the hills between two small towns, and the surroundings feel remote even though the drive in is easy.
Race numbers are not mailed out, so plan to pick yours up at the park on race morning. The organizer runs the event to support youth health and wellness programs through the local Y.

The Ridge Runner 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
