About the Rhinelander Turkey Trot
This is a Thanksgiving morning race that starts and finishes at the front of Rhinelander High School. The course is hand-timed, and the race benefits the local food pantry through the school's Key Club. Age group winners take home a Thanksgiving pie instead of the usual hardware.
The high school commons opens early for same-day registration and packet pickup, and it stays open as a warming area and restroom access during the race. Everything happens in one building, which makes the morning straightforward for a late-autumn holiday race.
