About the Rhinebeck Ferncliff Forest 5k Turkey Trot
The course runs out and back on paved road from a Baptist church, heading toward Ferncliff Forest along Montgomery Street and Mt Rutsen Road. The terrain rolls gently the whole way, nothing sharp, with the forest as a backdrop. Dogs on leashes are welcome, and so are strollers, which tells you something about the pace of the morning.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local bagel shop in town, which is the easier option if you can make it. Race-morning pickup opens in the church hall well before the start. The start line is just outside the church parking lot. A raffle of goods from local merchants runs alongside the race, with entry through a separate donation.

The Rhinebeck Ferncliff Forest 5k Turkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
