About the 1th Annual Resurrection Run & Community Easter Egg Hunt
The race starts and ends at Lake Forest Park, with the longer courses winding through Henderson neighborhoods and downtown before returning. Underfoot you get a mix of concrete and asphalt. The roads stay open, but local police work the route to keep runners clear of traffic. The shorter dash stays on the park's concrete trails, well away from cars.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Ebenezer Baptist Church, which gives the pre-race logistics a distinctly local feel. On race morning, pickup opens early and closes before opening ceremonies, so arriving with time to spare matters. The Civic Center parking lot is the place to park, and carpooling is encouraged. An Easter egg hunt follows the race in the park.
