About the Resolution Run
The course moves through a couple of parks in the northwest part of Las Vegas, connecting them by way of a trail. It is mostly runnable with some gentle rolling, and the Red Rock Mountains sit on the horizon the whole time. Strollers and leashed pets are welcome, so the field tends to include people well beyond the usual racing crowd.
The race starts in the afternoon, which leaves the evening open for whatever New Year's plans follow. That timing also means the light on the mountains is good.
