About the Reindeer Run & MORE!- Cody Cubs Baseball

This is a fundraiser run for a local youth baseball program, held in the evening at the Rec Center. Runners are encouraged to show up in holiday gear, antlers, elf hats, or anything that glows. There is a distance option for serious runners and a shorter fun run to bring in the whole crowd.

The evening features a silent auction and a light dinner, so supporters who are not running can buy a dinner-only ticket and take part. Packet pickup runs the evening before the race, with a brief window on race day as well. The event goes on even in bad weather, with the dinner and auction happening regardless.

Common Questions About the Reindeer Run & MORE!- Cody Cubs Baseball

Will I finish last at the Reindeer Run & MORE!- Cody Cubs Baseball?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 28:40, and the last recorded finisher came in around 54:16, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Reindeer Run & MORE!- Cody Cubs Baseball a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (51 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Reindeer Run & MORE!- Cody Cubs Baseball?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 18:48 while the median finisher took 28:40. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
