About the Reef's Run 5K

Reef's Run is built around hydrocephalus awareness, and the cause is personal: the race is named for the founder's son, who was born prematurely and has had multiple brain surgeries. That story travels through the whole morning. Runners show up in hydrocephalus blue, tutus encouraged, and the atmosphere at Round Hill Pines Beach Resort feels more like a gathering than a race.

The event runs well into the afternoon, with a silent auction, raffle, and awards after the finish. Complimentary beer is available for adults at the finish area, and the resort's bar and grill is open for lunch. There is ice cream and mini cupcakes, face painting, and music. Parking is free before the run starts and paid after.
