About the Redlands Turkey Trot

The course starts at a street corner near a university stadium and winds through the surrounding campus neighborhood. The streets here are fairly level, with tree-lined residential blocks typical of older college-town areas. A shorter kids' dash runs alongside the main event, so the start area has a range of ages and energy on Thanksgiving morning.

Proceeds from the race go to a pair of charitable organizations, one local and one international, so the entry fee does something beyond covering logistics.
