The course runs out and back from Dudley Park, where the start and finish are set near a sunflower planting. The terrain is park-level ground, and the out-and-back shape means you retrace the same stretch, so you know exactly what is coming on the return. The race is put on by a local chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, with proceeds going toward community service work and scholarships.
