About the Red Flannel 5 & 10K
The course runs flat along the White Pine Trail staging area, so there is not much to fight terrain-wise. It is part of Cedar Springs' Red Flannel Festival, and runners are encouraged to wear their best flannel to the start line. Prizes go to the best-dressed in red flannel, which gives the morning a distinctly local flavor.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Red Flannel Office on Main Street, with additional pickup on race morning at the amphitheater in Cedar Springs Park. A kids' fun run is also part of the morning, with course lengths adjusted by age group.
